Snowboard World Cup in Winterberg

  And then there was the snowboard world cup in Winterberg.  Last weekend.  Several competitions were held.  For the snowboarders it was the start of the 22/23 season.  Winterberg showed himself in the best clothes.  A week earlier, winter had already turned the area white and the cold also made the snow cannons tile.   The first day didn't end so successfully for the German snowboarders.  In the mixed ranking they clearly missed the podium.  On Sunday things looked very different.  The parallel slalom was held there.  The track doesn't give much more. Here, too, the women were not entirely successful.  Melanie Hochreiter just missed the podium.  She lost her heats for third place.  German star snowboarder Stefan Baumann was luckier.  He didn't make it to the finals either.  But won his heats for third place against Austria's Alexander Payer.  Result  <<<<<

World Cup Cyclo Cross in the Beekse Bergen.

  Well, we used to be in the Bekse mountains with our sailing boat.  With the mast down, of course.  The mountains are probably more likely.  But this is a pretty quarry pond, where you can spend the night for a lot of money.  Or just keep cycling.  There are probably a few heaps of earth there by the lake.  However, they were not used. The Cyclo Cross World Cup is also called the Shark Food World Cup.  Most of the guys are nowhere near competitive.  Similar to women's ski jumping, you need a few extras. I actually think that's a shame.  It is also not the Olympic idea that counts here.  We are in tough professional sports.  Rather, you probably need a few victims for advertising reasons. Unfortunately, this also includes most of the German drivers.  Only Marcel Meisen is probably an exception here.  But he wasn't there anymore.  The others fight to prevent the lapping.  This includes taking a shower early. ...

Phil Bauhaus wins the 1st stage Down Under

  The boys down there don't call the Tour Down Under the Tour of Australia.  That would also be presumptuous.  Because the radius of events covers only a fraction of the fraction of the continent.  People say Paris is France, but maybe they haven't seen anything else of the country apart from the Eiffel Tower and the Moulin Rouge. Anyway.  Today the boys did a few laps around Tanunda.  You don't see much of the huge continent there either.  After a short journey of 40 km, there were four more loops of 16 km around the city.  Tanunda has a good 4000 inhabitants.  But they are plentiful in the area.  Here in Germany we might not speak of a city.  But down here, Down Under, it's a little different. One hill had to be overcome on each round.  His name is Mergil or something.  In each case it is 230 meters in altitude over a distance of 13 kilometers.  That will be a real Hammerberg.  Incidentally, he had to be ridden...
