Iserbyt's tactic does not work at Koppenbergcross.

koppenbergcross

koppenbergcrossIt went haywire the last time. The competition has noticed and is acting accordingly. You no longer let Michael Vanthourenhout drive you tired, but stay nice and quiet with Eli Iserbyt. Always hoping that Vanthourenhout will shit anyway and that you will still have the strength to survive the duel with Eli Iserbyt.

It was no different at the Koppenberg Cross. On Flanders' holiest cycling ground you had to watch how a Dutchman belittled the nation. No, it wasn't the humiliation of previous years this time either. No, it was a new stumbling block. Although Lars Van der Haar is not a newcomer to the business, he is slowly getting in shape against the Belgian second division. Mind you, the Belgian second division is still the top division in the world. When the three big ones aren't there. But Van Aert, Van der Poel and Pidcock are showing little interest in humiliating their opponents at the moment. They only want to use the cyclo cross during the Christmas season to prepare for the events on the road in the coming season. If you intervene, then you will slaughter,

That's why the dear little ones are so keen on the dots. Should the big boys collect the big Christmas bonus? You yourself will reap the harvest at the end of the season.

Let's talk about current events at Koppenberg. Because the race was limited to this steep cobblestone passage. We used to sail to Oudenaarde for a while. You have to be careful in the harbor. Because there's a low power line in the way. I still remember it somehow. Didn't think about that when we left and set the mast a little too early. Of course, I also remember the Koppenberg. Would never try to tackle the steep ravine by bike. Even going downhill is a bit tricky.

So this is where the crucial carnage took place. In the last climb. in the last round. This is where the blood and tears flowed. So that in the end the race became quite uncomfortable for the remaining drivers. Or was it the beer from the numerous plastic cups that just became stale and could no longer be drunk? Who knows.

Pauwels Saucen's strategy really didn't work today. Michael Vanthourenhout was actually in the lead. And if not Iserbyt, then Vanthourenhout. A Belgian. That is enough. A flame. Even better.

But then Vanthourenhout suddenly went into loops on the last climb, a few meters from the safe harbour. Lars Van der Haar saw that. Dutchman. And that certainly gave him courage. He dared the mountain sprint. Iserbyt doggedly pursued him. The two rolled over Vanthourenhout. But Iserbyt also had to lay down their arms against the Dutchman and be satisfied with second place.

So it's not surprising that the Flemings stretched out their mugs and tipped the beer onto the street. No beautiful country in this time.
